Summary

One lovestruck woman。 Three handsome boyfriends—and strangers。 A unique dating adventure awaits in a hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy by New York Times bestselling author Jeneva Rose。

A guy told me he loved me tonight。

Peyton Sanders hopes it’s not too late to say it back。 Done with dead-end relationships and swiping right, she knows who her heart belongs to。 But as she races to tell him how she feels, she’s hit by a car and wakes up with amnesia。 It gets worse。 Peyton has no clue who the three men who show up at her hospital bed are except they each claim to be her boyfriend。

They’re certainly worth remembering。 A rustic-looking contractor—heaven in flannel。 A tailored consultant with a smile to die for。 And a tattooed chef with a box of homemade chocolates, both delicious。 Peyton’s friends Maya and Robbie have an idea: date each man again。 Recognizing her soulmate should be as easy as one, two, three。

On a wildly romantic and dizzyingly funny journey, Peyton runs once again toward love。 This time, hopefully, her heart can guide her where her mind cannot。

Jeneva Rose ATE her flirtation with/transition to romance。 It has all of the ingredients we love from classic romantic comedies, and it’s so easy to fall in love with every character! I’m going to be thinking about this book and its characters for a long time。 BAM five stars!

The best way to finish my 2023 reading challenge! I loved this book, Jeneva Rose has conquered another genre Long love Nickelback!

Took off a star for the “San Fran” of it all。。 then had to immediately put it back with that Nickelback scene。

I've read (and enjoyed) a few books by this author but they were thrillers。 This story is a rom-com (so a different genre for the author) but it was awesome。 Though it was predictable - I knew by the second chapter who "the guy" was - it was still a fun and flirty read getting to the end。 I recommend! 4。5/5 ⭐️ - rounding upI have been a fan of Jeneva’s writing for awhile now and have read most of her backlog。 While The Perfect Marriage still ranks as my favorite of hers, It’s A Date (Again) was a delight to read。 It’s refreshing to find authors that aren’t stuck in a single genre and are able to write a compelling story no matter the theme。 I’ll start with a spoiler free review before diving into some spoilers。 “The heart loves。 The brain thinks。 And sometimes, the two don’t agree”In summary, 4。5/5 ⭐️ - rounding upI have been a fan of Jeneva’s writing for awhile now and have read most of her backlog。 While The Perfect Marriage still ranks as my favorite of hers, It’s A Date (Again) was a delight to read。 It’s refreshing to find authors that aren’t stuck in a single genre and are able to write a compelling story no matter the theme。 I’ll start with a spoiler free review before diving into some spoilers。 “The heart loves。 The brain thinks。 And sometimes, the two don’t agree”In summary, It’s A Date (Again) is about a woman named Peyton, a serial dater who doesn’t do relationships and has never said “I love you” to a partner。 Her past trauma has left her guarded。 Thanks to a helpful stranger, Peyton realizes that she does love someone but her brain has got in the way。 On her way to confess, Peyton gets hit by a car and loses her memory。 At the hospital, three men show up claiming to be her boyfriend and she has no idea who they are。 Peyton must begin to rediscover herself and uncover who her heart wants。 This is a rom-com with no spice。 It is quite funny and I recall laughing out loud numerous times throughout the book。 There are some serious themes and I got a little teary-eyed but overall it was lighthearted and fun。 Some of the premise is a bit exaggerated but that’s what I enjoy about rom-coms。 The characters were well written and I understood the motivations of each character。 Even when a character’s personality or actions were too much for me, I understood the rational behind them。 Jeneva made loving these characters in 245 pages easy to do。 I’ve always been terrified of having amnesia but after reading this book, Im a tad more confident that it would all work out for me。 This is the end of my spoiler free review。 I have a few spoiler comments to discuss。 If you don’t want spoilers, now is the time to click away。 You have been warned。 Silly goose。 I guessed the love interest immediately when the characters were introduced in the hospital。 I’ve come to expect surprises from Jeneva’s books but this one an easy call for me。 I may be getting used to her writing style or this one was more obvious。 Either way, because of my suspicions, I found myself not wanting to get invested in the other guys because she wasn’t going to end up with them。 I understood why Robbie didn’t want to bring up that he has confessed his love to Peyton but his avoidance of the problem and his acting out due to the unresolved hurt was frustrating at times。 He did step up and put Peyton’s needs above his own even though he must have been breaking。 Telling your best friend you love her, getting rejected, finding out she was in a coma and lost all her memories, her confessing she loves someone to your best friend。 Wow that’s a lot to unpack。 I loved the pop culture references, always a fan of The Office references in books。 The Sixth Sense plot point was hilarious。 Hank was awesome and I’m so glad he got his happy ever after。 Love Debbie。 Love Habbie (Hank + Debbie? Wow that’s awful)。 Tyler was awful。 Nash was a sweetheart, would love a spin off of him。 Shawn was… there。 Maya was funny but she would be too much for me as a best friend。 Her stand up was great, I caught myself laughing multiple times。 I’ll wrap up this obsessively long review with one of my favorite quotes: “Drunk Robbie is like a blank crossword puzzle。 The clues are all there but the real words are missing。” 。。。more

This book was cute but super predictable, I guessed the ending in chapter two。 My favorite part of the whole thing was the epilogue。

Silly, lighthearted, and easy to read。。I ate this book up。 It may be Jeneva, it may be the book, I’m not too sure but honestly it was a great read。 For me it was easy to tell who her true love was right from the beginning but it was easy to want to stay to see how the story played out。 I also loved that the audio was already attached so I could switch easily between reading & listening while making dinner。

4。5 stars。 Almost 5。 It was so good! I wish we would have had a little more time with the three guys, it felt just a little rushed, but overall was great。 I definitely cracked up laughing a few times and felt the love for the mystery man at the end! Hoping we get a second one!

Peyton is on her way to tell the love of her life how she feels… when she’s hit by a car。 She’s fine - but she’s lost her memories, and things get really interesting when 3 men come to the hospital, claiming to be her boyfriend。 With the help of her comedian bestie, her best guy friend, and her neighbor/landlord, she dates all 3 men, to find out who she was on her way to see the night of the accident。 I am a big fan of Jeneva Rose’s thrillers - and would agree she is “the queen of the twist”。 Wh Peyton is on her way to tell the love of her life how she feels… when she’s hit by a car。 She’s fine - but she’s lost her memories, and things get really interesting when 3 men come to the hospital, claiming to be her boyfriend。 With the help of her comedian bestie, her best guy friend, and her neighbor/landlord, she dates all 3 men, to find out who she was on her way to see the night of the accident。 I am a big fan of Jeneva Rose’s thrillers - and would agree she is “the queen of the twist”。 While I absolutely loved It’s A Date (Again), it was extremely predictable。 And I know, I know, I know this isn’t a twisty thriller, it’s a RomCom, but it was just a little too obvious。 The homeless guy was vaguely reminiscent of the rambling guy at the beginning and very end of Pretty Woman。 Which I loved。 There was so much witty banter, and the characters all had such robust personalities — this could easily be adapted into a movie!Perfect for fans of Thirteen Going On Thirty! Jeneva Rose’s first dive into romantic comedies was a success! Did I guess the ending? Yes, but it was so sweet and I laughed a few times throughout。 “The Office” reference especially! I’d also love to hear more on Nash’s story!

Jess

It gave cheesy romcom vibes, but in the best way。 Sure, I guessed the rest of the plot within the first few chapters, but it was exactly the fun read I needed!

Ashley Salcedo

I have Jeneva Rose on my TBR, but this was the first book I have read by her。 With how predictable it was, I still really enjoyed it。 We obviously know who she loved from the very beginning, but reading about everything unfolding was cute。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Cute read。 I actually really enjoyed this。 My heart hurt for Nash & Robbie but to me, it was very obvious Robbie was the one。 I wish there was more intel behind Maya’s response of “I know” when Peyton finally ‘remembered’。 So Maya knew the whole time ? Or possibly thought she knew but wanted Peyton to feel out the experience ?! Either way it was a very good read, just wish there had been a follow-up conversation addressing that with Maya & Peyton。

Marah

I loved this so much。 It felt like these were my friends and I was right there along side them as the story progressed。 💜💜💜💜💜

Such a cute story Although I did get the hint as to who she was going to choose, I still loved reading this book。 It was so cute and swoon-worthy that I fell in love with Robbie lonnggg before Peyton did。 I devoured this book in two days。 I read it right when it came out and now I wish I had taken my time on it。 But it was such a cute read。 Love you, Jeneva!

I thought it was super cute。 I guessed the ending early on, but I still wanted to know if I was right。 I love everything that Jeneva writes!

Usually LOVE Jeneva’s books for the twists。 This one was cute, good story, but too predictable which is why the 3 stars。 Figured out the ending by the second chapter - at least want to make it halfway through before that happens!
